RIP Sophia Petrillo [22 Jul 2008|02:52pm] [ mood | sorrowful ] Estelle Getty died today. She was one year older than my grandmother, and her birthday is July 25th, the day before mine!! I'm not sure that there will ever be a television show that I love more than The Golden Girls. I'm always so happy that some of my earliest memories of TV-watching are of watching this show! (Growing up with my hippie mom, the only TV I watched was at my Grandma's house when my parents went out for the night, and she never missed an episode of GG or Empty Nest!)
